Also to announce that if people have comments or happenings they want their neighbors to know about, they can post those on the official facebook page

Another form of communication that was sanctioned by those present, was the use of “NextDoor”… a social media site that connects neighbors. There are 3 ways to sign up for PicfairVillage.Nextdoor.com. First, you can sign up using your name and email for free. Second, you can be invited by a friend or family member. Lastly, you can email Ezeoma Obioha at obioha@nwn.tv and he will sign you up. He is the point person for this site. Once again, please email him at obioha@nwn.tv if you’re interested in joining this group. Only those officially registered on this site will have access to its content.

How you chose to communicate to fellow residents will be up to you. This website will be a source of business and local happenings and the social media sites will be a way for residents to communicate to each other.

Also discussed was getting streets to have Block Captains. Block Captains can be a source of information for those not able to attend meetings and point people for any concerns. Talk to your neighbors to see if anyone would like to be that person for your block.

Lastly, the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Race will be in October. Because PVCA is in transition with no board, PVCA will not be a sponsor of this event (no PVCA money will be used). You can visit www.picfairvillagepumpkinrace.com for more details.
