Happy Holidays Everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Tis the season to give, but first I would like to thank the President of Los Angeles City Council 10th District Herb J. Wesson Jr., Councilman Eric Garcetti, and Eduardo Soriano-Hewitt, for donating Turkeys to our Annual Turkey drive for the less fortunate that’s sponsored by the Pico-Neighborhood Council.
I would also like to thank Sam Simon for feeding 840 families every 1st and 2nd Thursday of each month. It’s an honor working with them to provide food to the families in our community. Statistic show that 12 million children go hungry each year and we are able to help some of those children.
This year on December 20th with the generosity of Pico Neighborhood council we will be joining the Tom Bradley Center in our annual toy giveaway. We have purchased many smaller unwrapped toys for the kids, but we would also like to get bigger items particularly a few bikes. We are trying to raise money to get a total of 8 bikes from toddler size to adult size bikes for our teens, any and all donations are appreciated. If you woudl like to donate a bike that would be just as good as a financial donation.
