Remove Graffiti Fast!

image

The most effective way to combat graffiti is to remove it IMMEDIATELY, before the vandal's 'message' can be seen. Report any graffiti on public property or your own private property using the on-line Anti-Graffiti Request System, or call the graffiti hotline at 3-1-1. The graffiti will be removed for FREE within 4 business days.

Boulevard Without Borders

Three artists who live near Pico have initiated the Boulevard Without Borders project to document the people and places along this culturally diverse corridor. The project brings teenagers together from Pico's ethnic and religious communities in a collaborative process of photographing their own and other neighborhoods along the boulevard.

The Picfair Village Community Association works to enhance  the cultural and artistic aspects as well as the safety and beauty of Picfair Village.

The neighborhood has been active since 1998 when it was first named the Pico Fairfax Neighborhood Association.  At one of the early meetings, the group voted to change the name to the Picfair Village Community Association. General Membership Meetings
are held several times a year at the SGI-USA Friendship Center, 5899 Venice Blvd., located at the corner of Fairfax & Venice.  Check the Calendar for upcoming dates.

Association Accomplishments:

  • We planted dozens of trees on Pico from Fairfax to La Brea and on residential streets.
  • Our traffic committee had the left turn light installed at Fairfax and Venice, and stop signs throughout the neighborhood.
  • We worked closely with Vons management to finalize the upgrade to the Pico/Fairfax store.
