The most effective way to combat graffiti is to remove it IMMEDIATELY, before the vandal's 'message' can be seen. Report any graffiti on public property or your own private property using the on-line Anti-Graffiti Request System, or call the graffiti hotline at 3-1-1. The graffiti will be removed for FREE within 4 business days.

Boulevard Without Borders

Three artists who live near Pico have initiated the Boulevard Without Borders project to document the people and places along this culturally diverse corridor. The project brings teenagers together from Pico's ethnic and religious communities in a collaborative process of photographing their own and other neighborhoods along the boulevard.

Ways to Stay Informed About Crime in our Area

  1. Sign up to receive real-time neighborhood specific crime alerts and information through the LAPD e-Policing program.
  2. Check out the LAPD Crime Map to track activities in our area.
  3. Bookmark the News section of our website where crime alerts are also posted.

Ways to Help Fight Crime in our Area

  1. Report crime.
    The LAPD offers anonymous ways to report crime tips using an on-line form, or send a text message with the word "LAPD" and your crime tip to 2-7-4-6-3-7 ("CRIMES").  Also, the City offers a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of graffiti vandals. Learn More.
  2. Remove graffiti IMMEDIATELY before the vandal's 'message' can be seen.
    First, take a photo of the graffiti and email it to Detective Choe at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to help the police track gang activity in our neighborhood.

    Second, use the on-line Anti-Graffiti Request System, or call the graffiti hotline at 3-1-1. The graffiti will be removed for FREE within 4 business days.  If you want to remove the graffiti yourself, the Office of Community Beautification provides free materials - email or call (213) 978-0228. Businesses can obtain paint from their local City Council office.
